You will know the cost before we start

After your examination we give you a written plan with itemised costs and the health fund item numbers, so you can check your rebate before you agree to anything.

You can stop at any point

Tell us to pause and we pause. We explain each step before it happens, and ask you to agree to each one, not just once at the start.

The room is set up for nervous patients

Blankets, pillows, ceiling-mounted televisions, music and aromatherapy, and appointment slots long enough that nothing has to be rushed.

A fixed replacement for a missing tooth, planned and placed here rather than referred out.

Not suitable for everyone. Active gum disease, uncontrolled diabetes or too little bone have to be dealt with first, and we will tell you at assessment if an implant is not right for you.

Invisalign clear aligners and conventional braces, for teenagers and adults.

Aligners handle many alignment problems but not all of them. Some bites need fixed braces or a referral, and we will say so rather than recommend the easier option.

Professional whitening, porcelain and composite veneers, and restorations matched to your own teeth.

Whitening lightens natural enamel only. It will not change the colour of existing crowns, veneers or fillings, so we check what is already in your mouth before quoting.

Dr Sang Lee Kaing

Principal Dentist. Dr Kaing has worked in the northern suburbs of Melbourne since qualifying at the University of Melbourne, and leads the clinical team at Royal Parade. She speaks four languages, which matters more in Reservoir than it might elsewhere.

Before you ring.

I am nervous about the dentist. How can you help?

Tell us when you book so we can give you a longer slot. We explain each step before it happens and stop whenever you ask. The room has blankets, pillows, ceiling-mounted televisions, music and aromatherapy, and you are welcome to come in first just to look around and talk, without any treatment.

Can I be seen today?

Ring us as early in the day as you can on 03 9460 4922. We keep time aside for urgent problems, but we cannot promise a slot until we have spoken to you and understood what is going on. Please do not use the web form for anything urgent.

What will it cost?

It depends on what is found at your examination, so we do not quote before we have looked. After the examination you get a written plan with an itemised cost for each option and the item numbers your health fund needs. Rebates vary by fund and level of cover. If the total is more than you want to pay at once, ask about our interest-free payment plans.

How often should I come in?

Every six months suits many people, but the right interval depends on your own oral health, your medical history and your risk factors. Your dentist will recommend a schedule for you at your appointment rather than applying a default to everyone.

Do you see children?

Yes, we see children, teenagers, adults and older patients. Early visits help children get used to the setting before anything needs doing. If your child is eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, ask us and we will check.

Where do I park?

There is free undercover parking at the Royal Parade complex, so you do not need to look for a space on the street. We are at 2A Royal Parade, Reservoir VIC 3073.
